Jeychandran is a Mellon Visiting Assistant Professor in Indian Ocean Worlds with a joint appointment in the Departments of African American and African Studies and Anthropology.

Research Interests:
Indian Ocean World Cultures, Afro-Asian Connection, Visual Cultures of South Asia, Museums and Curatorial Studies, Port Cities in the Indian Ocean, African Heritage in Asia, Colonial Heritage and Cultural Memory, and Ritual Performances.
